The products on the following Trilock pages illustrate our most popular holders, but by no means represent our limits in serving your needs.  The Trilock design will allow you to implement a quick change/preset toolholder system into any machine where congested tooling is a factor.  Don't waste valuable production time moving machining units, index tables or fixturing out of the way just to change tools.  Consider Trilock solutions in both standard and special designs - whatever your needs require.

BASIC COMPONENTS

The Trilock components are the Base Holder, the Change Nose, the Collet and the Nut.  When correctly used in production, the base holder remains clamped on the main tool slide.  While one change nose is in operation and engaged with the base holder, a tool in a second change nose is preset to an exact length dimension outside the machine.  Therefore, a correct Trilock system consists of two or three change noses and one base holder for each position.

TRILOCK FEATURES

NOTE:  When assembled, the runout from the shank of the base holder 

to the change nose collet seat will not exceed .0004

Trilock sizes are defined by the actual "triangle size" as illustrated below.  There are five standard sizes: size 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.  All Change Nose styles are available within a specific size will mate with all Base Holders of the same size.  For example, any size 3 Change Nose will mate with any size 3 Base Holder.
